Corning has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will not be using their trademarked Gorilla Glass, even though it has been touted to be the flagship  high-end model mobile for Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus Ice Cream Sandwich phone has a 4.65-inch screen is a standard Super AMOLED display and not a Super AMOLED Plus variation (as seen on the Galaxy S II).  Samsung, has told the press that a type of “fortified glass,” will be used but hasn’t gotten any more specific than that. Once it users have had a chance to get it, we will quickly find out how it holds up to “butter fingers” type of users.

It seems Samsung has learned a lesson from its damaging battles with Apple and thought coming in development is the last device.

A long battle with Apple in the courts, however, damage the Samsung brand.  Perhaps this step was taken to show that they are more seriously patents and how to remove all signs of infringement on their upcoming devices.  They are completely free of "Apple" will probably be the author of the iPhone-hungry team of law.

Nexus mark requests rejected

The application is a registered trademark of Google Inc. for its a mobile node has, according to a U.S. patent and trademark complex Office last week. Judgments, mentioned in many blogs and news sites says Google request has been rejected because of the "confusion" held linked brand Integra Telecom, Inc., based in Portland, Oregon.

"Nexus of Integra" trademark is registered in 2008, according to the company public records.The offers services of telecommunications under that name, based on its site to Google is now more evidence in support of its request, as the case last week.

Google spokesperson said in a statement: "We continue to claim rights to a node of the brand in the US and the response planning for action of the Office of the U.S. Patent Trademark Office".Immediately, the Integra spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.
